Uncommon Grounds is an inclusive community for the spiritual and maybe-religious regardless of where you’re from, what you believe, or whom you love. We seek to cultivate the divine spark throughout Southern Methodist University and Dallas by hosting bold conversations about relevant topics, collaborating on new ideas, and establishing boundary breaking connections around SMU’s campus.
We welcome you to be a part of Uncommon Grounds by:
- Joining us on Mondays from 8-9pm at SMU’s Hughes Trigg Commons as we collaborate on a new project from a featured creator and engage in a reflective exercise to inspire new ideas.
- Joining us in our monthly engagement events around SMU. Past events include “Have Coffee With…” in which we hosted conversations with a Muslim feminist, a gay Christian, and a professional artist. Watch out for other installments of Have Coffee With, as well as events involving spontaneously conducting a group of musicians and hiding and finding messages in bottles!
